Mummers Parade

If you live in Philadelphia or ever have lived there then you are definitely very familiar with the Mummers Parade aka New Years Day Parade. This parade is held once a year on January 1st and is filled with many different brigades aka groups that compete against each other. Each year, the Mummers Brigades all do a different theme and try to master it along the lines of costumes and music. The only bad thing about it is that it is outdoors, so you have to stand there in the freezing cold. It’s tradition to drink while watching the parade, and also there is always a big party down 2nd street since that’s where all their clubhouses are.
